Donald Trump kicks off campaign with rants against ‘deep state’ | World
Donald Trump kicked off his 2024 presidential campaign with events in New Hampshire and South Carolina on Saturday, saying “every day for the United States is April Fool’s Day” under President Biden.
Speaking in the state capital of South Carolina, Columbia, at his second event of the day, Trump said he would return to the politics of common sense, which is currently lacking.
Since the 2020 presidential election, in which he mistakenly insists he will win, Trump, 76, staged large-scale rallies that attracted thousands of supporters. Saturday’s events in the two states, which will take place in the midst of next year’s first Republican primaries, were much smaller in scale.

The event was much smaller in scale than the rallies that Trump has previously held.
