Egypt archaeology: Gold-covered mummy among latest discoveries


Saqqara has been a functioning burial ground for over 3,000 years and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located in what was the ancient Egyptian capital of Memphis and is home to over a dozen pyramids, including the Step Pyramid, near which a mummy shaft was found.
