Elizabeth Warren refuses to back Kamala Harris as vice-president | World

One of the highest-ranking Democrats in the Senate refused to support Kamala Harris for a second term as vice president.

Elizabeth Warren, 73, said she wholeheartedly supported President Biden, who is running for another four years, but declined to say whether she thought Harris, 58, should remain his deputy.

Warren, the Massachusetts senator who ran against Biden and Harris for the 2020 Democratic nomination, told Boston Public Radio that Biden did a brilliant job in the White House. He did a “massive amount of cases,” she said, despite having the “smallest majority possible” in the Senate and, after the 2022 midterm elections, in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives.

Biden chose Harris as his running mate in 2020 despite being hurt by her attacks on some of his former policies.
