Lindsay Clancy: Husband Patrick asks public to forgive wife who ‘strangled their two children’
The husband of a 32-year-old Massachusetts woman who is accused of strangling two of her children to death is urging the public to forgive her.
On January 28, Patrick Clancy shared an emotional statement pleading with the public to forgive his wife, Lindsay Clancy.
“I want to ask all of you to find the strength in yourself to forgive Lindsey, as I did,” he said.
“The real Lindsey showed generous love and care to everyone – me, our children, family, friends and her patients. The loving fibers of her soul. All I wish for her right now is for her to find peace somehow.”
The distraught father shared that “my family was the best thing that ever happened to me. I was so proud to be Lindsey’s husband and Cora, Dawson and Callan’s father. They gave me a purpose and I never took it for granted. Where there once was this purpose, a huge void has formed.

His wife is charged with two counts of murder, three counts of strangulation and three counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
She is suspected of strangling their eldest children, Cora, 5, and Dawson, 3, to death. The third child, eight-month-old Callan, was pronounced dead Friday at Boston Children’s Hospital after being admitted to the hospital. According to several media reports, Clancy was also accused of trying to kill an infant.

Mr Clancy addressed rumors about his wife’s mental health. He said that recently she has been portrayed “mostly by people who have never met her and never knew who the real Lindsey is.” He added that her “condition” had recently worsened, although he did not elaborate on what she was struggling with.
“She loved being a nurse, but nothing could compare to her intense love for our children and dedication to motherhood. It was all she ever wanted. Her passion taught me how to be a better father.”
The GoFundMe campaign in support of a grieving family has raised over $886,000 as of Monday morning.
