Shocking footage of Paul Pelosi hammer attack released by court

Speaking to reporters earlier this week, California Democrat Ms. Pelosi said she would find it “very difficult” to watch footage of the attack.
“I mean, it would be very hard to see an encroachment on my husband’s life,” she said.
DePape’s lawyers opposed the public release of the audio and video footage, writing that it would “irreparably damage” his right to a fair trial. DePape has pleaded not guilty to a variety of state and federal offenses related to assault, including assault and attempted murder.
According to police reports, DePape was looking for 82-year-old Mrs. Pelosi, who was a lightning rod for hate on the right, yelling “where’s Nancy?”
Mrs. Pelosi, who was in Washington, D.C. at the time of the incident, resigned as Speaker of the House shortly thereafter.
