Speaking to reporters earlier this week, California Democrat Ms. Pelosi said she would find it “very difficult” to watch footage of the attack.

DePape’s lawyers opposed the public release of the audio and video footage, writing that it would “irreparably damage” his right to a fair trial. DePape has pleaded not guilty to a variety of state and federal offenses related to assault, including assault and attempted murder.
