TThe crime scene is located at the bottom of the Baltic Sea, in the cold waters of the Danish island of Bornholm, off the southern coast of Sweden. It was here at the end of September that powerful explosions severed the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 underwater gas pipelines running from Russia to Germany, in an unprecedented attack on Europe’s energy infrastructure.
